get back on the journey

I know this is a long post but please take the time to read it as it will hopefully give you some tidbits that will encourage you along your journey.

every day is a new day. use the tools available to you. if are you interested in becoming a health coach for take shape for life let me know!!!  that is what pushed me over the edge because I was able to learn a lot and helping others has helped me. it is a good way to help cover the cost of your foods too. if you find 5 clients to support you can pay for your food and it just gets better from there. i'm sure you have five friends who want to lose weight and be healthier. i am looking for some key people to join my team as health coaches and clients. things are starting to heat up here locally so now is the time.
let me know if you are interested in more info

if you have friends who want to get healthy and lose some weight this year please refer them to me and i will put a credit on your account toward your next order for anyone who signs up as a client.  Think outside the box. it amazes me that people never offered to help me lose weight until AFTER I lost a bunch and now everyone has stories of how to lose weight that they want to share with me.  there are so many people struggling out there and this is such a healthy simple way to get it off.  very structured and easy to do if you follow the plan and set yourself up for success.  use the tools available to you ~ like your health coach!!!  ME

i am soooo happy to have friends on this journey with me. i know every one of them has the potential to be successful.  think out of the box.  noone ever approached me about weight loss when i was 230 lbs but now that i am down 60 lbs i am constantly getting approached by people with ideas of how to lose weight.  it is uncomfortable to talk to people about our obesity but everyone who is obese needs help and we have an awsome easy simple tool to help them ~~~  lets share it!!!

if you are local and have any ideas of inexpensive exercise ideas that we can do together in the winter months please share them as we are all struggling financially and with time issues.  i am still doing Daren's boot camp and would love to have any and all join me. if you join please let him know i referred you so i get a discount!!!

will power is hard for me right now too but this is my new lifestyle so will power is not the ultimate ~~ lifestyle change is... i don't have little kiddos anymore like some of you do, but i do understand that challenge. is your spouse supportive of what you are doing? if not maybe he needs to watch the DVD and learn more about your program so he can understand.  afternoons and stress are my two triggers and i have found that i had to come up with (ahead of time) a plan for when that hits. i can't have the foods that tempt me around or i will mindlessly eat them without even noticing until it is too late.
get some snack size ziplock bags and pack yourself celery, pickles, olives, things that are ok to have and keep them with you at ALL times. Get a cute lunch bag that you love and pack your five meals for the day and a nice water bottle and your shaker with your other snacks in there. that way all the food you need is in there and you will know that you ate the correct number of meals too.  sometimes you might need to set a timer to remind yourself to eat one of your meals every 2-3 hours so you don't forget and get over hungry...  be sure to drink a glass of water every hour...  whenever you go to the bathroom do 25 wall pushups or 25 jumping jacks or 25 squats EVERY TIME you go potty. that adds up.  be creative

in the afternoons when i am crashing and my mind says eat and you will feel better ~~ but I know I am not hungry... i will take 2 min and walk around the building. It is a 2-5 min break and reenergizes me and keeps me from snacking when I am not really hungry
diet soda will help with some sugar cravings although be careful not to drink too much of it or it stimulates your appetite.

sorry i'm rambling, but hopefully not overwhelming you.  I've been there and want each of you to succeed and think some of my ideas will not only help you but get me going again too

i am willing to go for walks with anyone either at lunch or in the evenings on the days i don't have boot camp.

did you buy the cookbook from TSFL? it has some ideas for the lean and green meal that could be used for your family. i have some other recipes i have found that we use too that the kids will eat. they don't need the carbs or starches either and once you get the mental part out of the way you really don't miss it.  your whole family can eat the same dinner and if they NEED a starch you just skip that part

if you struggle with  metabolic syndrome like i do; without exercise you won't have the long term success with weight loss.

it doesn't take much.  i have a book called 8 min in the morning for extra easy weight loss by Jorge Cruise that you should borrow. it is lean muscle things that are done in 8 min a day and really works for our body types. if you like it you can find one to buy. he has a second one that is done with weights too but this one you just use your own body weight. 8 min a day is do-able.

change your mindset!!!  this is not a diet it is a lifestyle to help you forever.  are you using  your book?  you don't have to just sit down and read the whole thing from cover to cover, but use it!!!  there are lots of helpful ideas and things to learn from it.  this system is tried and proven.  don't give up on yourself.  i understand that.

you will succeed.

NO MORE NEGATIVE SELF TALK!!!!

"I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength"

Hi, I love your post! I'm a TSFL health coach too :) It's the best way to keep the weight off, isn't it?

So excited to see Dr. Andersen here at our upcoming New York Regional Event.

Keep up the good work,
Belinda
